It Takes a Village
When you choose to give, you become part of something bigger.
There are three major areas most in need of financial support.
Volunteer Support
To effectively support volunteers working on the ground in Kenya, it is essential to provide comprehensive assistance with:
transportation
food
supplies
housing
This ensures that volunteers can concentrate fully on their primary responsibility of working with students rather than worrying about logistics. Having volunteers present on-site allows for swift and efficient resolution of emergencies, which is crucial for maintaining a safe and productive environment.
In addition to direct student engagement, volunteers play a vital role in supporting government-related tasks, liaising with post-secondary institutions, and guiding graduates as they start businesses or learn to manage family responsibilities. The volunteer serves as a consultant, actively participates in planning, and takes action to best support deaf orphans in Kenya. By empowering volunteers with adequate resources and support, their impact on the community and the lives of students is significantly enhanced.
Children Benevolence
This initiative aims to provide essential benevolence for deaf orphans in Kenya by addressing their medical needs, supplying clothing and shoes, and offering necessary everyday supplies. The program also organizes field trips and experiential activities to help these children gain valuable exposure to society, fostering inclusion and personal growth. Through these efforts, the children are given opportunities to interact with their communities, develop life skills, and build confidence for their futures.
Rescue Center Operations
For ten weeks each year, during school breaks, deaf orphans are sent back to their villages. Unfortunately, many face abuse, hunger, excessive labor, and neglect, and the youngest children often lose their sign language skills due to isolation and lack of communication.
Establishing a rescue center would provide a safe haven for those in the most difficult circumstances. At the center, children would receive nutritious meals, experience a secure environment, participate in enjoyable activities, and maintain their sign language abilities through consistent interaction and support. This solution would help protect their well-being and ensure their language development is not interrupted.
Your support can make a real difference in the lives of deaf orphans in Kenya. By getting involved, you help provide access to education, resources, and opportunities that empower these children to reach their full potential. Together, we can create a brighter future for deaf orphans and improve the lives of deaf people throughout Kenya.
